In producing the mattresses VEGAS Company uses natural latex, supplied by the biggest manufacturer in Belgium, ARTILAT, which provides latex for filling of the mattresses and pillows. The latex is obtained from the milk of the rubber tree (Heveea brasiliensis), growing in the Middle and Far East. It is obtained by foaming (thermal treatment). Latex has a microcellular structure, similar to that of honeycombs, the cells being filled with air....

The main property of latex is its elasticity, e.g., capacity to resist to big pressure and to come back to its initial state

 Latex  is durable and not allergy-provoking (preserves its elasticity  during more then 20 years), has a good ventilation capacity, it’s hygienic, has antibacterial properties,  and is also thermostable. The density of ARTILAT latex is 65 kg/m³.
All the types of latex are perforated, assuring, firstly, a better ventilation of the mattress and secondly, in the case of non spring mattresses, provides 3-zone or 5-zone latex blocks, for a better support of the spine. 

Climalatex®

Climalatex is a unique product, a combination of durability and porous structure, which lets the fabric “breath” and not absorb moisture. Climalatex® decreases the level of surface pressure on the person’s body, adjusts its temperature avoiding the extra heating, together with moisture.

• has 4 times more pores than the ordinary latex - has a better air conductivity, can “breath”;
• optimally regulates the weep and vaporization of moisture (a person may loose around o,5 liters of moisture during the night); 
• ensures sleeping in a comfortable chilly environment;
• has antibacterial properties, the specific structure of the fabric prevents the dust mites; 
• due to thousands of porous orifices, creates the “easy touch” effect remaining stable support for the body of the sleeping person;
• eliminates the points of increased surface pressure, preventing overpressure on the vessels of the sleeping person.
