Koir sheet

In the VEGAS mattresses we use coco coir sheets, provided by the Dutch concern  ENKEV , founded in1932, specialized in the production of mattress filling/materials.  

Coco coir sheet – 100% natural fabric, made of vegetal fiber, taken off the palm body (each coco fibre is at least 7 cm long, wich assures extreme durability and density to the coco sheet). The raw material is supplied from Sri Lanka.
In the manufacturing the coco coir is completely saturated with latex (the fiber are firmly attached to each other, thus they do not part or pelt), this makes the manufacturing more expensive, but, at the same time, increases the durability and flexibility of the coir sheet, consolidating its vibration reducting properties.

The density of the coco coir ENKEV is 100 kg/m3.
The coco coir has the following properties:

Ability for natural ventilation, flexible, hygienic, antiallergic,  long lifetime. Gives mattress its firmness (rigidity)

The Company VEGAS purchases 2 types of coir sheets by ENKEV:

• coco coir sheets 1 cm thick, used in spring mattresses  2, 5, 5а, 9, 10а, 20.
• coco coir sheets 3 cm thick, used in spring 3b, 3, 9, 10, 29, 13, 14, 8.
