Company History

The history of the “Vegas” Company is a history of success and performance, development and realization of bold ideas. In 2 years the company not only became the leader on the market of Belarus in orthopedic mattresses production, but also to gain fame far beyond the borders of the country. For its clients and partners, “Vegas” has always been a synonym of quality and mutually beneficial cooperation. 

Beginning

“Vegas” Ltd — is the first manufacturer in Belarus to produce orthopedic mattresses. The company was founded in 19997 in the Free Economic Zone “Brest”. From the very beginning the company intended to operate under its own original trademark – “Vegas”, using only high quality gross material and spare parts, from top western suppliers.  A series of well-known European manufacturers like “Agro” (spring blocks), Artilat (latex) became reliable partners of the Company from the first years of activity. Key items in the range of products are the orthopedic mattresses on the basis of independent spring blocks and non spring mattresses, on the basis of of natural latex and coco coir, as well as mattresses on dependent blocks of springs  (Bonnell). Initially, the basic markets for “Vegas” products were Belarus and Russia.  

In 2000, in the context of product range extension the company launched the production of orthopedic pillows, and in  2001 — asymmetrical mattresses. These mattresses (the sides have different level of rigidity) is a pioneering work, presented by the company, one of its innovative solutions, which enhanced the certifying reports on the Company.

Recognition

In 2001 during the International Exhibition “Furniture- 2001” («Мебель-2001») in Minsk “Vegas” Ltd was given the first award of quality. And that was just the beginning. From that moment, the company regularly received prestigious prizes and awards at carious exhibitions and competitions. Here are just some of them: “Best Products of the Year” (2003, 2004, 2005), “Choice of the Year”(2006, 2007, 2009), The Prize of the Government of Belarus for Significant Achievements in Quality(2006, 2009).

New Horizons

In 2006 “Vegas” entered a new stage in its evolution – it began working in a new manufacturing base wih the surface of  10,000 sq. m, new sewing and quilting equipment was bought, installed a new modern metal cutting machine, thus the production was brought to a new qualitative level. The new packing equipment made possible to suppress and pack some types of mattresses in bullets. Thus, the transportation could be performed faster and the logistic costs decreased.

The high appreciation of the specialists and the constantly growing interest of the customers stimulated “Vegas” to enter new market channels. In 2004 the Company began to deliver its products to Ukraine, in   2005 — to Moldova. In 2007 “Vegas” representations in Kazakhstan and Slovakia, where, after 1 year, on the International Forum  MODDOM in Bratislava, “Vegas” Trademark was awarded a prestigious prize for applying innovative technologies and materials.  In 2009 the company began operating in the Czech Republic and Hungary.

Success and recognition on the international market determined a new stage in extending the range of products. In 2009 began the production of the orthopedic bed frames and the collection of mattresses for children Vegas Kids. In  2010 the collection “Aktiv” was launched, applying innovative design ideas and modern technology.
